Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Military Operations.

Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed strikes throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone close to the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any damage is unclear and the United States has yet to issue a statement.

Missile Defenses Activated

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on sites associated with the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the government.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," it added.

It said debris landed in a populated district in the capital, causing some property damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
